LISTED taxi voucher and payments company Cabcharge Australia has put a 24 per cent increase in interim net profit down to greater EFTPOS usage in cabs and new fee deals.
Sydney-based Cabcharge, which chairman Reg Kermode and a group of taxi companies founded in 1976 and which taxi operators largely own, said: ``In comparison with the forecasts contained in its (late 1999) prospectus, the company has performed favorably."
Cabcharge said earnings per share was running at an annualised rate of
11.48cents, compared with prospectus forecasts of 10.5 cents.
